Indonesian Collaborative Research Grant (RKI) 2025

Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) invites faculty members and researchers to participate in the Indonesian Collaborative Research Grant (Riset Kolaborasi Indonesia – RKI) 2026, an initiative aimed at enhancing research quality through collaboration among 24 PTNBH universities.

The RKI program, which has been running since 2018, is designed to expand and deepen research networks, strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration, and increase the number of high-impact publications in reputable international journals.

 

Research Focus Areas

The research focus may cover priority fields in science, technology, and social sciences and humanities, in accordance with the directions of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology and the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), including:

  • Food security and food systems

  • Energy and sustainable energy development

  • Health resilience and healthcare independence

  • Transportation and mobility systems

  • Defense and security

  • Agro-maritime development

  • Tourism development

  • Digital diplomacy

  • Social sciences and humanities

 

Funding Schemes

RKI 2026 offers three funding schemes:

*Scheme A: Collaboration among PTNBH universities.

*Scheme B: Collaboration between PTNBH universities and non-PTNBH partners (e.g., BRIN, private universities, government agencies, or industry).

*Scheme C: Collaboration among PTNBH universities with international institutions.

 

Eligibility and Funding

• Lead researchers must be from PTNBH universities and hold a Doctorate (Ph.D.).

• Applicants must have an h-index of at least 4 (science & technology) or 3 (social sciences).

• Proposals should involve at least two research partners from different institutions.

• Funding ranges from IDR 250 million to IDR 375 million, depending on the scheme.

 

Key Dates

📅 Proposal Submission: February 13 – March 7, 2026

📅 Proposal Evaluation: March 7 – April 6, 2026

📅 Announcement of Selected Proposals: April 17, 2026

📅 Grant Agreement Signing: April 20, 2026 (Universitas Sriwijaya)

📅 Project Implementation: April 20 – November 30, 2026.
