• Historical perspectives: Exploring the historical connections between non-western countries and the Islamic world, including the Silk Road, maritime trade routes and diasporas and cultural exchanges.
• Economic partnerships: Analysing economic collaborations, trade relations and investment flows between non-western countries and Islamic countries.
• Political dynamics: Investigating diplomatic relations, geopolitical implications, and regional politics shaping and shaped by the relationship between the Islamic world and non-western countries.
• Cultural exchanges: Examining the cultural influences, artistic exchanges, and religious interactions between non-western and Islamic civilisations.
• Contemporary issues: Addressing current events and emerging trends that impact relations between the Islamic world and non-western countries, such as technology, global governance and environmental challenges.
