The East-West Islamic Research Centre at the International Islamic University of Indonesia is dedicated to advancing knowledge and understanding of the multifaceted relationship between non-western countries and the Islamic world. EWIRI will stand at the forefront of research and scholarship, contributing valuable insights into the evolving dynamics between non-western countries, Indonesia and the wider Islamic world. EWIRI will contribute to more informed and mutually respectful relations between non-western countries and Muslim-majority societies and enhance UIII’s status as a thought leader and centre of excellence.
